low-key broom closet witchery

i am in no way condoning disobeying your guardian. If they say no candles, I'm sorry friend, no candles.
that being said, here are some ways to goddess-worship on the DL (do people still say that?)
  1. make a small hidden altar. all my candles and ritual supplies are in a bin in my closet, not for secrecy, but to save space. my mother couldn't care less if i'm a pagan or if i worship the friggin flying spaghetti monster. but if your parents don't approve of paganism, you should probably keep a shoebox altar
  2. if your guardian lets you burn candles and/or incense, keep it common, to avoid suspicion. get scented candles. jasmine incense. the goddess probably doesn't care whether or not you use a specific scented candle or whether it's purchased at a new age shop.
  3. keep in mind, if you're going to burn incense or candles, people may be curious if you do it often enough, so try doing it only for sabbats and esbats
  4. praying is always a good idea and can be done without arousing suspicion.
  5. meditation is always a good idea also, and if anybody asks, it's to clear your mind and body of impurities. because it does that. and there are tons of guided meditations on youtube!
there you have it folks, top five tips for broom closet witches!
